KRAKOW - JULIUSZ SŁOWACKI THEATRE

Theater located in old town centre of Krakow , on the Holy Spirit Square , next to the medieval fortification wall , within the park called "Planty".



The edifice was erected in 1893 and the design was inspired by the old baroque opera house in Paris by Garnier.


 It was deigned by architect Jan Zawiejski and is exquisite example of polish eclectic architecture with many elements from previous architectural periods.



The theater's stage is one of the most deisrable places of drama plays in Krakow and is decorated with the hand hand painted monumental curtain by great polish painter Henryk Siemiradzki(Siemiradski)
