The building is the oldest edifice of Jagiellonian University( Uniwersytet Jagiellonski) , located at the corner of Jagiellon Street and St Anne Street in the old town centre of Krakow.
It was founded in 14- th century and is an excelent example of polish gothic period in architecture with its open courtyard, brick wall construction, arcaded galeries, and use of stone surrounds and single and double light pointed windows and doorways.
It is the place were famous polish renaissance astronomer ( author of heliocentric model in astronomy) used to study.
